REVIEW: Swensons in Tampines

The food was okay to me, I was expecting to be more tasty and less hard when I had the Chicken Baked Rice. The cheese and chicken was great, but the rice was slightly hard for me and quite chewy. The atmosphere of the place is great, the bench kinda squeaks so no points for them. The service is 100% poor, took them 10 minutes or more to remove your finished plates and my mrs had to wait almost 20 minutes for her pasta meal and I nearly finish mine when her meal arrived.
Another thing which we both do not like, sweeping floors while eating our dessert. This worker keeps sweeping the floor whilst we’re eating, those dust and dirt may fly onto our desserts. This is the first time in my life I have ever seen a worker sweeping the floor when, we customers are eating.

I am having a great time in Singapore with lo por jai, spending 24 hours with her everyday I love it very much. Hope it will be like that in the future

Our second time to the Singapore Zoo, and this time I got extra batteries for my camcorder and camera hehe recorded more than 2 hours of video I think. During recording the animals I saw these 2 baboons shagging each other..ewww..looks disgusting. Looks like they enjoy it very much, we watched the sea lion again. I will be posting this short video clip on our blog or on facebook when I’m back in UK. Enjoyed looking at the animals with lo por and filming her hehe

The day we went to Toa Payoh to treat Michelle’s family for dim sum, if I can remember correctly I ordered the following:
- 2 x Sui Mei
- 2 x Prawn Dumpling
- 1 x Fried Prawn Dumpling
- 2 x Char Sui Rice Flour Roll
- 2 x Prawn Rice Flour Roll
- 2 x Char Sui Buns
- 2 x Red Bean Buns
The restaurant is called Fortunate Restaurant, the food there is very nice and I recommend to anyone who read our blog Was going to order more, but I might afraid that they don’t eat much especially Avan, her brother. Anyway next time we’re gonna order more and more as I wasn’t full at all, feel like eating another 3 or 4 more plates of Char Sui Rice Flour Rolls.

A very nice sunny day, we can go to Singapore Airshow..they said it’s the largest airshow. The way we see it’s very small leh..even the show is not that nice. But overall it’s nice except the tan on our skin, we became quite brown on our skin. Lo por and I had sunburn on our arms, neck and shoulders. Next time we will apply lotion on our bodies and my face, last time my face was like a baboon’s bum. I will be posting a short video clip on our blog when I’m in UK
Few hours later we went to White Sands in Pasir Ris and grabbed a bite. We had subway and it was great, didn’t know it was that yummy. Plus it’s more healthy than BK, KFC, Pizza Hut and McDonalds. Soon I will have another…

Not much happening on this day. We both stayed home as we’re both tired so we decided to watch the second part of Transformers, I give it 9/10 as it has action all the way through. The movie is not bad at all, recommend to anyone out there. We had McDonalds for dinner as I was craving for Big Mac, yummy..I think that’s enough junk food now. Next time I’ll have something more healthier.

Recently we have been many shopping centres buying bed sets, facial masks, and looking for concert DVDs that my dad want. Also we enjoyed our food very much, so far I like the Jack’s Place Steakhouse. The ribeye steak was brilliant, it was so tender and juicy. Michelle had the sirloin steak and it was very nice as well, we might go there again this week and this time I’m gonna have sirloin steak. The soup was tasty, feel like having another hehe maybe I was hungry at that time.
Later that we went to Skinfood to buy the remaining face masks and my masks as well, to keep those blackheads off my face Finished shopping around, heading back home and have subway and bubble tea yummy..subway was delicious, very nice that we wanna have another one 
Boring Trips, Boring Movie and Shopping

We went to Singapore Discovery Centre and it was absolutely boring, nothing much to see except the robot. It was cute and very polite, we loved it. Even lo por asked a few questions to him and he answered them, nice robot 
The journey to the centre was around an hour or so, all the way to the last MRT station. Overall it is not worth to visit there, I rather stay home or go to a museum.
Then we went to Boon Lay shopping centre and it was very crowded, wow so many people on Sunday..didn’t do my shopping as it will be very troublesome for us especially carrying more than 20 bags.
What did we eat for dinner? We had Peranakan for dinner and our overall rate for this food is 0, as food were too oily and service was terrible. We see staff acting like kids, hitting and spanking to each other. We didn’t like it at all, but we did enjoy their appetizers though it was yummy.

Went to Orchard for shopping and catching a movie, we watched ‘The Box’. The movie is okay, but prefer ‘Legion’ as there was too many talking in the movie non-stop. Not much action scenes or any blood, very boring. Must avoid this movie, do not watch it at all!!! We had Yoshinoya for dinner and fetched some buns for later evening and for the following morning for breakfast yummy
Today, Tuesday 2nd of February 2010
Today we gone to Parkway Parade, to the Faceshop to buy my remaining 85 face masks for my mum. And I brought other skin care products for my mum as well, and redeemed many red packets hehe Before we went into Faceshop, we dropped by Mos Burger for a bite. The fish burger was very tasty, too bad I can’t have another one as I was too full. Lo por says it was delicious, but BK is better though. Walked around the shopping centre, brought a total of 81 pearl face masks for my mum and passed by Skinfood as well to get other masks for her. Guess what did we see? I’m not saying anything out, but honey knows about it. It was kinda freaky, but yea..
Hmmm…I’m thinking to have thai food again, look..let’s go to BaliThai..we ordered a few dishes and there was 1 staff and she’s called Farhana, she was very polite to us so I decided to give her $10 she looked as she was very happy to receive that. I wonder if we will see her again next week and will she receive another $10 from me or $50??? lol Will post an update later this week.
